Holy Week celebrations continue. Among these, during Holy Wednesday: Mass in the Basilica of Gethsemane and the Veneration of the Column of Flagellation in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher.
On Holy Wednesday, the celebration in the Basilica of Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, has allowed us to immerse ourselves in the events experienced by Jesus during His Passion, Death and Resurrection.
The Mass was presided by Br. Dobromir Jaztal, Vicar of the Custody of the Holy Land. It is amazing to think that here Christ was betrayed by Judas. In this place, according to tradition, Jesus sweated blood. During the celebration, the Franciscan Friars solemnly sang the Gospel of Luke, which tells the passion of Christ. As the agony of Christ was narrated, the Friars kissed the Sacred Rock on which the Son of God lived his agony.
