Celebrating in Jerusalem the World Day of the Consecrated Life, on the occasion of the Liturgical Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple: called to bring the light of Christ to the world.
“A Light to enlighten the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”
The verses of the Song of Simeon were the thread of the event of Thursday, February 2nd, in Jerusalem. In the church of the Latin Patriarchate, the Liturgical Feast of the Presentation in the Temple of Jesus was celebrated, at which the Church instituted the World Day of Consecrated Life. The mass presided by the Custos of the Holy Land, Father Francesco Patton, was thus an opportunity to bring together dozens of men and women, all religious members of the Church.
