Come, Holy Spirit

In Jerusalem, numerous events took place during the Solemnity of Pentecost: From the Franciscans to the Benedictines, from the Sepulcher to the Cenacle, the hymn of Invocation to the Holy Spirit resounded everywhere.

In the Feast of Pentecost, from St. Peter’s Square to Jerusalem, a single invocation: “Come Holy Spirit!”

In Jerusalem, the city where the descent of the Holy Spirit took place, not far from Mount Zion, Saturday vigil was celebrated among the olive trees, in the grotto of Gethsemane. The liturgy was presided over by Mons. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Five readings: the synthesis of the story of salvation, from Babel to Pentecost.
