‘Growing in communion’: the entry of the Custos into the Cenacle

Wednesday, June 8, Br. Francesco Patton made his solemn entry into the Upper Room, site of the first Franciscan monastery in the Holy Land, for which the Custos has the appellation of “Guardian of Holy Mount Zion”.

Communicate, relate, build communion: these are the key words chosen by the new Custos of the Holy Land, Br. Francesco Patton, after his solemn entrance into the Upper Room, at the Christian Sion, Wednesday, June 8.

After a short procession of friars from the monastery of St. Savior, preceded by the kawas, the official entry of the Custos took place, accompanied by various religious and faithful, in one of the places most cherished in the Holy Land by the Franciscans.
