Star Street in Bethlehem

The rediscovery of ‘Star Street’ in the city of Bethlehem, a Unesco world heritage site.

‘Star Street’ is a particular road that runs through the old town of Bethlehem. About one kilometer long, it was included in the Unesco list of world heritage sites in 2012, as ‘path for pilgrims’.
A gateway rich in history and culture that starts at the roundabout of the headquarters of the Azione Cattolica and ends at the Zarrarah Arch, also known by the locals as the ‘Damascus Gate’, a formal and ancient entrance to the city. According to the Christian tradition, this road was traveled by the Holy Family when they arrived in the city of Bethlehem for Jesus’ birth.
