A series of two-day meetings at the University of Tel Aviv, to continue the path of dialogue between Christians and Jews, marked 50 years ago by Nostra Aetate.
50 years from the creation of Nostra Aetate (‘In our times’).
50 years after the profound renewal of the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Jewish communities. The document, published at the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council, explains in five points the position of the Church in relation to other religions and humanity, but is remembered as a fundamental building block in the dialogue and friendship with the Jewish world.
This week, the AJC Global Jewish Advocacy, with the University of Tel Aviv, wanted to mark the anniversary with a series of meetings that continue to pursue the path of dialogue marked by that document.
